Thanks, ladies, for hosting such a fantastic evening and for providing the snacks and drinks! Everything exceeded our expectations, especially with the rain all day! It was wonderful meeting all of the attendees. A special moment for the screening—actress Nikki Zag (aka Odile in ODILE) joined us for the first time, taking part in the Q&A session!

Great also, having members from two local organizations joining us—Rise Up & Walk Project & GoInspireuk.org. Thank you all for your insightful contributions to the crucial knife crime conversation. 🤝💐💖❤️ #ODILE #ScreeningTour

    About The Screening Tour

We are delighted to invite audiences to experience ODILE, a powerful short film written and directed by Elsie Nemlin. Inspired by real-life events, the film follows a French immigrant mother in London whose dream of building a better future for her son is shattered by domestic abuse, housing insecurity and the growing threat of knife crime.

Set against the backdrop of contemporary London, ODILE explores the challenges faced by many vulnerable families while celebrating the resilience, courage and determination of a mother fighting to protect her child. Through community screenings and discussions, the ODILE Screening Tour aims to raise awareness, encourage meaningful conversations and engage audiences around some of the most pressing social issues affecting communities today.

Each screening is followed by a Q&A with writer-director Elsie Nemlin, offering audiences an opportunity to explore the inspiration behind ODILE, discuss its themes, and gain insight into the film's creative journey.

Watch the trailer and discover more about ODILE using the links on this page.

We are excited to bring ODILE to communities across the UK and beyond, both in person and online. If you are interested in hosting a screening for your school, church, community group, organisation or event, we would be delighted to hear from you.

Join one of our screenings or contact us to discuss hosting your own.
