We’re excited to invite you to experience ODILE, a powerful and timely film project by Writer-Producer-Director Elsie Nemlin, as part of a special community film tour.
ODILE is a moving female-led film inspired by true events. It follows a French immigrant mother in London, whose dream of providing a better life for her mixed-race son turns into tragedy. After her estranged husband is found dead in a homeless shed, her son becomes the victim of a brutal gang attack just weeks after moving into their new council estate.
In light of ongoing concerns around knife crime and the housing crisis, ODILE explores these deep and pressing social issues. We’ve produced a 55-minute pilot as a precursor to a feature-length film with acclaimed actor David Harewood OBE and Mica Paris MBE (and few other international celebrities) attached.
The screening is part of a community film tour to raise awareness, engage with communities, and build momentum for the project as we seek funding for the full-length feature film.
The screening is followed by a Q&A session with Elsie. This is a unique opportunity to delve into the story, explore the creative journey behind ODILE, and hear about its exciting future as a feature-length film and more.

We’re excited to bring ODILE to more communities, both in person and online! If you're interested in hosting a screening for a group of 15 or more, we’d be delighted to collaborate. To support ODILE's mission and ensure we can continue sharing its impactful message, we suggest a minimum donation of £10 per attendee or a flat fee for groups with a Learning & Development Fund or a similar budget.
Join one of our screenings or email us to discuss hosting your own screening!
